More stuff!

Posted by: Keith

I finally photoed my props, the cribbage board and a 28mm bar set for any RPG or tabletop game. I have the galleries posted: Cribbage Board, 28mm Bar Set, and Props.

I have also posted project pages for each of them: Cribbage Board, 28mm Bar Set, and Props. Quite a bit of this stuff has been a learning process for me as well as honing my painting skills. I had finished some of these a while ago. I am still working on some other stuff that I hope to get done for Christmas presents. But I will photo them all and perhaps they will make their way to a project page.

The bar set was particularly time consuming from a printing and painting perspective. It is quite tasking to print really small stuff... then you have to paint them! And there is quite a few files involved to bring it all together. The cribbage board was easier to assemble and paint, but it took almost 15 hours to print (5 hours for each side, then the inserts and pins). Some of the props took quite a bit of time to print as well, with lots of parts (Deckard's Blaster). But I hope the results are worth it. Keep in mind 3d printing is not like using a laser printer. It takes time and the higher the resolution, the longer the print will take.

Keep watching... More is coming.

ttfn,

Keith
